Earlier today, His Excellency, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, joined friends and well-wishers of Chief Barr. Ahamdi Nwaeke and his family celebrated Thanksgiving as Chief Ahamdi Nwaeke returned all glory to God for saving him from a life-threatening sickness after undergoing surgical procedures that lasted for over 6 hours.
Chief Ahamdi Nwaeke was the Director-General (DG) of Governor Otti’s electioneering Campaign in the 2015 governorship election. He was also the APGA’s Senatorial Candidate for Abia Central Senatorial District in the same election circle.
Speaking during the Thanksgiving Service, which was held at St. John’s Anglican Church, Umuihie, in Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area of Abia State, Governor Otti thanked God for His healing mercies upon the life of Chief Nwaeke and for seeing him through the surgical procedure.
The Governor commended Chief Ahamdi Nwaeke for remembering to come back to say thank you to God. The State Chief Executive noted that a lot of people forget to return all thanks and glory to God when they go through challenges of life and come out victorious.
Chief Nwaeke expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Governor Otti, whom he described as God’s appointed Governor, for finding time out of his busy schedule to celebrate with him and his family.
While commending Governor Otti for his good works across the State, Chief Nwaeke noted that by the time Governor Otti is done with his 8-year tenure, the institutional reforms he is carrying out will make it difficult for those who will come after him to destroy them.
The Thanksgiving service was attended by members of the Judicial arm of the Government, led by the Chief Judge of the State, Honourable Justice Lilian Abai, who led other Justices of the State High Court to the Thanksgiving service.
The Lawmaker representing the good people of Isiala South State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Roland Chinwendu, Commissioner for Power and Public Utilities, Engr. Ikechukwu Monday, Special Adviser on Political Matters, Hon. Iheanocho Obioma, The Mayor of Isiala Ngwa South, Hon. Nnadozi Nwaogwugwu, were among the government functionaries who attended the event alongside the Governor.
