DOMINION CITY SENIOR PASTOR, OGBUELI, COMMENDS GOV. OTTI’S REMARKABLE ACHIEVEMENTS.

The Senior Pastor of Dominion City Global, Pastor Dr. David Ogbueli, has commended Abia State Governor, His Excellency, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, for his remarkable achievements in the last three years, urging him to sustain the momentum of development and provide purposeful leadership for the South-East and the country.

Pastor Ogbueli gave the commendation on Thursday, November 5, 2026, when he led a delegation on a courtesy visit to Governor Otti in his office.

He appreciated the Governor’s developmental strides in all sectors, including road infrastructure, and encouraged him to remain focused on delivering his vision for Abia State.

Pastor Ogbueli, who is also the President of the Golden Heart Foundation, particularly expressed optimism about the proposed seaport project, saying its successful actualisation would have far-reaching economic benefits for Abia State, the South-East and the entire country.

He noted that the South-East remains the industrial and commercial nerve centre of Nigeria, stressing that a seaport in the region would significantly strengthen its economic potential, facilitate trade and stimulate industrial development.

“I am particularly looking forward to the seaport project. I will continue praying for it until I see it become a reality, and I will even come back for its commissioning because of what it will do for the entire region.

“The South-East is the industrial brain of the country and the commercial nerve centre of the nation. We will continue to pray for all the necessary approvals, support and favour to enable the project to reach its logical conclusion,” Pastor Ogbueli stated.

Pastor Ogbueli, who disclosed that his wife hails from Old Umuahia in Abia State, also commended the Governor’s administration for the transformation of markets and ongoing urban regeneration projects across the State, describing Governor Otti as a transformational leader whose achievements have attracted attention beyond Abia.

The cleric further observed that the Governor’s leadership has rekindled hope across the South-East, which, according to him, has endured years of political and developmental challenges. He urged the Governor to sustain his performance, particularly in his second term, which he described as an opportunity to consolidate his achievements and establish a lasting legacy.

“The whole region is looking for fatherly leadership. What we are witnessing now is a new era, and we do not want it to end with Abia State. The news of what is happening here has travelled far beyond the State, and other parts of the country are watching. You do not need to market something that has worked and delivered results,” he stated.

Pastor Ogbueli assured Governor Otti of his continued prayers and support, explaining that one of the purposes of his visit was to strengthen the Governor’s hands through prayers and encouragement.

He further disclosed that his organisation, through the Golden Heart Foundation, is working on a comprehensive youth development initiative aimed at equipping young people with practical skills, mentorship and opportunities for economic advancement.

He explained that the initiative would adopt a mentorship model in which accomplished professionals and business leaders would each mentor 12 young people, transferring valuable knowledge, professional experience and entrepreneurial skills to them.

He invited Governor Otti to attend the Sunday service as part of the activities marking the Next Level Summit, noting that he had initially been reluctant to disturb the Governor’s schedule because of ongoing political activities but considered it important to extend the invitation personally.

Responding, Governor Otti thanked the Senior Pastor for his encouraging words, prayers and continued support for his administration, as well as for extending his ministry beyond preaching to practical initiatives in industrialisation, skills acquisition, youth empowerment and human capital development, describing such interventions as essential to sustainable development.

The Governor noted that his administration is willing to support the initiatives, stressing that governance must prioritise the welfare and security of the people.

The State Chief Executive explained that sustainable empowerment is not about giving people handouts but equipping them with the skills and opportunities to become self-reliant and contribute meaningfully to society.

The Governor was joined by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Emmanuel Meribeole, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Pastor Caleb Ajagba, among other top government officials.
