Earlier today, His Excellency Dr Alex Otti, OFR, attended the burial ceremony of late Ezinne (Mrs) Eunice Nwaugwu Ibe, held at the family event arena at Isu-Awaa, in Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu state.
Late Ezinne Eunice Ibe, who passed at the age of 90, was the Mother to Emperor Chris Baywood Ibe, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Baywood Integrated Group, a business magnate, philanthropist, and social activist with business interests spanning oil & gas, engineering, procurement, construction, etc.
In his condolence letter to the family, Governor Otti said that he received the news of the demise of the late Ezinne Eunice Ibe with a deep sense of loss, noting that “Her life mirrors a deep commitment to family values, while reminding us of the importance of wisdom and discipline.”
“Until her death, she was a caring mother to her children and grandchildren, and remained a beacon of hope and strength to her family and loved ones. Her love for humanity, godly virtues, and sense of piety endeared her to the hearts of all who knew her. The memories of her kindness and selfless contributions to society will forever be cherished,” Governor Otti stated.
While noting that words may not be enough to console the family during this period of grief, Dr Otti encouraged them to take solace in the fact that she lived a long and impactful life, served her generation faithfully, and has gone to rest from the scars of this world.
Governor Otti expressed the hope that Late Ezinne Eunice Ibe would reunite with her family and loved ones on the resurrection morning, where they will meet to part no more.
The burial was attended by dignitaries from all walks of life.
